CORRECTION TO BUILDING CODE 16.3 SWIMMING POOLS
The Policy Review Committee recommends the deletion of Item (c) and I have inserted a couple of changes on my own, in afterthought, as noted by bold italics with asterisk :
CURRENT READING: 16.3 Swimming Pools
- (a) Permits shall be required for swimming pools.
- (b) Above ground swimming or wading pools in excess of one foot in depth are
prohibited.
- (c) Portable, inflatable swimming pools made of vinyl are permitted between May 1
and September 30, but must be taken down and stored in a garage or storage building between October 1 and April 30 of each year.
- (d) All state and county safety standards shall apply to in-ground pools.
- (e) Plans, drawings, plot plans, materials, and dimensions must accompany permit
application. All applicable set back lines will prevail.
