Christmas Lights Committee decorates the lodge, mall and front gate for the Christmas season. They have also installed the lampposts at the mall and lodge which have also been decorated with holiday banners. They’ve had Christmas Open Houses and Santa Parties for ten years. The next project is to install three more lampposts at the lodge. Call Paul Healy at 456-3387 for information or to help out.

Christmas Lights Meeting

The CLC had their monthly meeting in the Lodge on Wednesday,
September 16. Here are the highlights of the meeting:

Judy Thaxton was thanked for doing a CLC garage sale that raised $113.00 from CLC donated items.

Those young Lakengren kids who are planning to participate in the “Lakengren Got Talent” show at the Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 12, must call Anne and Mike Schleich at 937-336-5151 to register in. The talent show audition will be held on Wednesday, November 18, at 7:00 PM and the winners will perform at the Open House where the three top acts will receive $50.00 each.

The New Years Eve party will again feature the music of Garcia & Scott. Start to make your plans to attend. We are limited to just 60 couples in the Lodge and there will be no tickets sold that night at the door. Since this is Lakengren function, Lakengren residents and their outside social friends will have the first opportunity to purchase their tickets. Any remaining tickets will then be open to those who also enjoy Garcia & Scott performances at Little Sheba’s in Richmond. Check GARCIAANDSCOTT.COM for their local appearances.

Tickets are being designed by a new CLC member, Dan Eckert. Joining Dan as new members were Dan Holt and his wife, Judy.

Watch for notice of when the tickets are available from the ticket committee.

Following the meeting, CLC members toasted Paul Healy with Champaign for his recent induction to the “Ohio Soccer Hall of Fame.” Fresh cherry pie ala mode was also served to the members
