 Lakengren Board of Trustees starts rewards program for recycling
The Lakengren Board of Trustees, in cooperation with the LWM Advisory Committee and the Preble County Waste Management, is proud to announce a new program named “Got Caught Recycling”. This is a rewards program that will reward those in the community that are “caught Recycling” by the Lakengren Waste Management Advisory Committee. The mission and purpose of this program is to encourage Lakengren Community members to do their part in keeping the county landfill and our local environment clean by reducing, recycling and reusing.
Starting Monday, February 7, 2011, the LWM Advisory Committee will scout the community and randomly pick a community member that has been found recycling. A new member will be selected each Monday by the LWM Advisory Committee. The committee member will place a small “got caught recycling” yard sign in the yard as a way to notify the recycler that they were chosen. If you are chosen, you must bring the sign back to the LPOA Office in order to redeem your prize. You will then be eligible to choose from one of the prizes listed at the end of this article.
Once the member has picked a prize from the LPOA office the member’s name will be posted in the next edition of the Viking and on the LPOA website. The membe may opt out of this and no information about the member will be posted. However to be eligible to participate in this program you must have a red Rumpke recycling bin. One may be obtained from the LPOA office during regular business hours or by emailing m_brueggemann@lakengrenpoa.org please include your address and quantity of bins you would like to have. A member caught recycling may choose from one of the following each worth $10.00
Gift certificate to the Lakengren Inn, fuel or other products from the Marina, deduction from next trash bill and many other gift certificates from various local gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores within Preble County.
